1. Grazing tables – the hottest new trend to hit wedding tables in 2019 is grazing tables.
Turn your table into a stunning, colorful work of art and you’ll wow your guests! I’d like to say, “the best thing about grazing tables” – but I can’t because there are too many best things about grazing tables, so let’s just say – one of the best things about them is that almost anything goes, so you can offer all your guests their favorite foods.
Like I said, anything goes – so grazing tables are perfect at cocktail hour, for a late night snack, as a dessert table or even as the main course! Wedding guests are loving this fun, delectable new trend that’s quickly replacing boring, old-fashioned wedding menus.

2. Green favors – everybody loves getting wedding favors, while they’re at the wedding that is, but what happens to them afterward? They either get put somewhere to collect dust or they end up in the trash. The latest wedding favor trend has put a stop to that. This year “green” favors are all the rage, and the focus is on practical favors and sustainability.
Some couples are even giving out favors that double as wedding décor – imagine pots of pretty, aromatic herbs decorating the table that you can take home with you. Pretty, eco-friendly packets of seeds are the perfect way for guests to remember your wedding as they grow into plants.
Edible favors are also big right now. The favors might not last very long, but their memory will. If your wedding is being held in an area that is famous for its foodstuffs (think – honey, olive oil) a personalized jar will be treasured.

3. Statement wedding cakes – wedding cakes have moved from traditional to trendy and the sky is the limit!
We are seeing layered cakes decorated with fresh flowers, doughnut towers, hand painted and personalized cakes, traditional wedding cakes from other cultures, cupcake and cookie wedding cake towers, even pies and cakes made from cheese.

4. Balloons - balloons are the next big thing in wedding décor and you won’t believe how diverse they can be!
Like old friends who’ve been there to celebrate all our happy occasions with us over the years, balloons have now made their way to our weddings. And, you won’t believe how chic they can be.
Look out for balloon walls and arches, balloon letters, calligraphed balloons, balloons containing confetti or plants, and balloons with lighting.

5. Dried Flowers – dried flowers are super fantastic and we are seeing them everywhere this year!
From bridal bouquets to table décor, dry flowers are making a huge entrance. And, can you think of a more perfect way to display your wedding bouquet in your home after your big day?
“My sister, MOH and I got together the night before the wedding and put together a bouquet of dry flowers. We also put some aside which I got the hairdresser to weave into my hair for the wedding. One of my best ideas. I loved it!”

6. Short hair – from long bobs to pixie cuts, brides everywhere are rocking their short wedding hairstyles.
In the past brides would start thinking of growing their hair out as soon as they got engaged but today we are seeing more and more brides with short hair. The focus here is on wedding hair accessories like a statement flower crown or a sparkly hair slide.

7. Party games – ok, so this isn’t new but it’s a trend that’s growing stronger this year. Brides and grooms are honoring their guests who don’t like dancing by making sure that they have other entertainment options at their wedding.
From lawn games to wedding table games – weddings have just become more fun!

8. Budget weddings – more and more couples are opting for frugal weddings that won’t break the bank.
Pinterest weddings are big this year! Couples are taking the affordable route and are having fun on the way.
“It was a Pinterest wedding because she saw what she wanted but couldn't afford it so we made everything...the signs... everything ourselves. We had DIY parties to make it all and it made the day even more special for all of us.”
“I couldn’t afford a wedding planner, so I used this amazing wedding planning package, which came highly recommended by a good friend. I really don’t think I would have gotten though everything without this….Things I wouldn’t have thought of…I’m so grateful for all the great advice!”
Most importantly, don’t forget that your wedding is YOUR special day, so whether you choose to incorporate the latest trends or not is up to you. Don’t forget that trends are just fashions, and as the fabulous Coco Chanel famously said, “Fashion changes, but style endures.”
